Topic says it all. They must be a minimum of PIII 800mhz (or G3 white iBook or later for Mac).

I pay cash, and generally can come pick up machines same day. Any make/model, Apple notebooks are fine too. Amount paid will vary depending on the system's specs and condition, but generally I pay around $80-120 for non-functional machines in good cosmetic shape. Busted displays, spilled liquids, or just won't turn on in general . . . . it's all good.

PM me with what you have and what you'd like to see for it!

I know this is kinda off topic - but can you take the dc jack off of a motherboard and resolder a replacement back on? I'm willing to pay, I just can't get my laptop apart to get the jack off the bottom of the motherboard, something is restricting me from opening it and I can't figure it out because all of the screws are out but I can't get the motherboard out - the laptop is in tip top shape, core 2 duo t7200 - I want to resell it since I purchased another one since I couldn't charge it - if you cant, and anyone else can, please let me know

Sure can, it'd be a $50 flat fee.

^^ Don't believe so, I'll have to check. PM me with exactly what it's doing, it's possible I can repair it without having to replace the whole board (I do component-level laptop mobo work).

^ Sounds good, just PM or IM me.

Jetta Jetbook 7964+ 2.66GHz/768MB with dead battery and one busted onboard speaker, jacked up IR port with a lead soldered to the power contacts (carPC). Rear fan is loud.

I have a Compaq Presario M2000 with a broken LCD. Haven't even checked if its the inverter board or not. It was a girl's I knew. Actually I think one of the wires that ran along the hinge was frayed and barely hanging on. I also have some spare IBM T42 parts.

^ PM me with the specs and how much you want for the M2000, I have display parts around for that model. Not much use for T42 components unless you have the whole thing.

Well how much would you charge for a display+parts for the M2000? And how much would you pay me for the M2000 barebones (minus HDD and RAM)? I can give you all the pieces of the T42, I thought the motherboard was dead. I took it apart piece by piece.

^Depends on what you need, exactly. Let me take a look at it and I can give you both quotes. The T42's motherboard likely IS dead, they're infamous for bad solder joints on the video card. If you have all the components and screws still I'll give you $80 for it.

^^Perhpaps, let me take a look at them. I can't really offer you very much due to them being PIII systems, they'd mostly be used to donate screens to more powerful machines.

I'll get all the parts together this weekend that I have of the T42. How much for the whole LCD screen for a M2000? I think I just need to peruse your laptop parts sometime.

have various trim pieces and cables from the M2000, not a whole assembly. Pretty sure I'd have a screen that fits it though if I could look at the connector on the old one!

crap, its a V5000. Do you still have an LCD for that? I also have an Presario 1500 that is acting funky. give me an estimate for an LCD for the V5000, or what would take for both of them for parts.

V5000 is a 15.4" widescreen, don't have any of those panels around I'm afraid. If its the backlight or inverter I could still fix it though, would have to look at it to be sure. Just bring them by for me to actually look at and I'll give you some solid quotes, heh.

So, I've got this old (very old) Song Vaio that was given to me about 6 months ago, haven't been able to turn it on because it didn't have a power cord. I'd sell it to you if I could make sure there aren't any personal files on it from the previous owner. Besides the power issue, it's in fine working order.

From a Dell Latitude D600:

14" LCD
Keyboard
Battery (not original...Rayovac replacement, ~1 year old...good life)
CD-RW/DVD
1G stick o' ram (don't remember the speed)
Wireless card

Interested?

I have a Dell inspiron 1525 that works perfect except the screen has a crack from the top middle down to about halfway and its about 1.5 inches wide. How much do you think you could give me? I don't think I could get it to you for a few months though.
