it's awesome. higher class than the other downtown bars, but it's nice because it attracts an older crowd. just chill as hell. they usually have really good live music too

they did a membership thing for a while there, and whenever they had live music they charged like $5 to non members. Wasn't sure if they were still doing that or not. But Jeff thinks he knows everyone, so if you ever need to avoid the cover just ask for him and pretend to be his best friend. He'll let you in for free and most likely give you a half-price cigar

they must have stopped it then. i have never been charged either, but I am pretty sure they were trying to do a membership thing for a while.

on a side note: It used to be Hemmingway's, but they got threatened with a lawsuit by the Hemmingway family

Depends what you are looking for.

My favorite overall bar is Churchills because it is a little more upscale and not overly crowded. Plus you can sit outside and watch all the club kids walk down to N club. Quality entertainment, pretty much always a fight.

I have several dive bars that I like to go to if I want to drink cheap and be around a bunch of people. (Speakeasy, Underground, Natty Greene's, Pour House, and others)

If you are looking for a club, Much / Heaven is by far my favorite mainly because that is where all the hot bitches go. All the others are pretty ghetto.

If you are looking for live music there is always Blind Tiger (kinda creepy still, but usually get good bands), and Greene St. usually has decent bands.

you would definitely like Churchill's then. really chill, more of an adult crowd. Underground is that way too depending on when you go. The later it gets the more it turns into a crowded college bar.

^ oh hell yes, and those statues are still up there at the furniture store. I never went to the putt putt there, only remember it when it was abandoned and it was all shitty. That whole High Point Rd. area is just sketch as fuck now.

but I used to go to the Putt Putt on Battleground every Saturday. 40 tokens, unlimited golf, hot dog, and drink for $5. BEST DEAL EVER. I used to RUN Mortal Kombat, son!
