So,
I picked this turntable up at a yard sale a while back. I finally got around to hooking it up and the needle is broke. I swapped the cartridge from another turntable to confirm that it works, but now I need to find a cartridge for this one. I know there are some DJ's or former DJ's on TWW who probably replace their cartridges before they actually fail. Anyone have a spare cartridge to get rid of?

Do you want a cartridge + needle or just a replacement needle?

Radio shack has (or can get) most replacement needles.

They will also sell you a new cartridge+needle set starting at about $30 and up.

If you want to get fancy with it head to Sam Ash on Capital Blvd and they have a bunch to pick from.

i sold my ortofons a while back.

i have a headshell if you need one, but no needle. shure makes a good one that is reasonably priced. stanton 505 isnt bad either but is geared towards scratching.

ortofon makes good needles but they are a little pricey

It has a Shure M912ED cartridge. I have checked Radio Shack's website, done some googling, and tried some eBay searching, but I can't find a stylus for that cartridge. I'll probably take a run up to Guitar Center and see if they have anything that fits it. If not I guess I'll have to pick up a new cartridge.

I was just trying to keep this one on the cheap. I only paid $10 for it, so it's still a good deal after I drop $35 on a cartridge.
