I have a 36 inch Dynaflat CRT HDTV (1080i) that somehow managed to get to a point where now it only works for HD signals. I called samsung about it and they said the inside circuit that points to the tube is different for the sdtv. Great TV to hook up to your PS3 in a game room or something. It is really wierd if you hook it up to a hd cable source the hd channels work beautiful but instantly when you switch to standard cable you get black screen.

It worked on my 360 when I had it, but I have not had one in a while, If you want to check it out you can bring it to my house and we can hook it up and see. You may could just run all your signals through something and upconvert to get all signals to work also (in essence trick the tv).

Looks like if you upconvert it then it works. On my cable if I put it on TNT HD when non hd commercials come on everything is still all fine.

UPDATE!!! - If you just set your cable box to output only 1080i then all channels work (of course they are not really 1080i) So as long as you are using this with a cable box, or a ps3, or anything that will output 1080i then this is a normal working hdtv
