Here's the story. I've been living abroad for the past 3 years doing a job that isn't in my original collegiate skill set (Biology.) I was thinking about taking the specific GRE test for biology to show prospective employers that I still know my shit. This isn't for grad school or anything, yet, just for a job.

Any ideas?

I've never heard of anyone's employer asking them about the GRE.

I think it's mostly for grad school.

is this for a specific job you already have in mind or just the best idea you've come up with to reenter the biology field?

They really won't care. If you don't have any experience, you'll get an entry level job anyways, and that usually requires no skill whatsoever, just the degree which says you're capable of being trained in that area

Well, seeing as I'm a year out from getting back to the real world, I'm just kicking around ideas. I figured it wouldn't be a major thing for an employer, but more of a feather in the cap kinda thing.

Employers likely won't know a good score from a bad score anyways.

A couple jobs back my boss used to ask people their HS SAT scores. He came to me one day saying he had a guy he wanted to hire because he scored a perfect 1200 on the SAT's.

^^ My boss asked people what they got on the SAT's but he didn't know how they were scored.
