This is a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo for sale. The Jeep has 221,111 miles on it, and overall has done quite well in its lifetime. There have only been two owners, and the first was my dad. We've taken exceedingly good care of it, with oil changes religiously every 3,000 miles (That's more than 70 oil changes!)

It has a Sony CD player, and a Cobra CB radio on the inside. I've also put a performance exhaust system on it with a 3" pipe, a high flow catalytic converter, and a Flowmaster muffler.

It has the Jeep inline 6 cylinder 4 liter engine, and the oh so fun 4x4 package.

Known problems: The Jeep doesn't currently run. It needs a new PCM (Powertrain Control Module). The dealership wants $550 for this part. I've also been told that it will not pass North Carolina state inspection as is - it needs to have the exhaust manifold replaced. I've been quoted $1,300 for this work from the dealer. It also has 4 oil leaks that I know of, so you will need to check and fill the oil regularly (I recommend checking it at each tank of gas). Fixing these oil leaks ranges from $200 to about $600 each from the dealer, but it's up to you whether you want to fix that or not.

On the interior, the piece around the center console broke with age. I still have it, but there isn't a way to get it to go back on as is. The dealer wanted $110 for the piece, and it wasn't worth the trouble to me. It has the vents and the ashtray/cigarette lighter on it.

Also, the knob that selects which vents the air should come out is broken. I don't have a quote to repair that, but I just kept a pair of pliars in the cupholder for turning that selector.

The tires are in good shape, though they do not all match. The car has quite a few new (i.e., within the past year) parts, including: radiator, alternator, spark plugs, fuel pump, ignition wires, coil pack, hoses, distributor cap and rotor button.

I am asking $600 for the Jeep, but I am also very flexible as it is very difficult to assess the value of a car that doesn't start. If you are interested but think that $600 is high, make me an offer! All proceeds will be donated to Hope for Haiti - they will be using the funds to build a hospital in a remote area of Haiti where many people do not have access to any medical care at all.

If interested, contact Randy at 919-745-7478. Please no PMs because I rarely log in to TWW, thanks!
