Amazing Acres Farm is located in Holly Springs, NC, and was started in 2004 by David & Kathleen
Kesselring and their three boys. Amazing Acres Farm was created specifically to provide unique
hands-on opportunities that encourage kids to “Get Outside And Learn!”

Programs:
• At the farm – we offer day camps, field trips, and festivals
• Away from the farm – we take the farm to schools, daycares, nursing homes, and festivals.
Children are taught through hands-on experiences created by Kathleen Kesselring that focus on
curriculum objectives from the NC Dept of Education’s Standard Course of Study. The lessons
highlight good character and inspire a connection to nature.

• Animals have all been raised as pets and are very friendly companion animals who love to be
held and touched
• Most are rescued animals
• Home to pot-bellied pigs, pygmy goats, an alpine goat, ducks, chickens, rabbits, heritage
turkeys, quail, turtles, and a small, organic vegetable garden

• Applying for non-profit status since our primary GOAL is to teach people to appreciate
animals, farming, and nature
• We are USDA licensed – laws about animal care, human-animal interactions
• Members of the Agritourism Networking Association, National Pygmy Goat Association,
Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, Pig Pals of North Carolina

Spend time with animals – feeding, playing/socializing, grooming, handling
And / Or
Spend time with kids –teaching them about animals and gardening during our programs
And / Or
Spend time on the farm – building hutches and pens, gardening, grounds maintenance
And/Or
Create activities/lessons that inspire a connection between kids and the natural world
And/Or
Create marketing material and opportunities to promote our GOALs
