I enjoy how the CNN, and Associated Press Map have switched NC from red, to pink and now to toss up.

Obama CLEARLY won the first debate, he's more in touch with the middle class, b/c McCain with his
13 houses/7 cars has NOTHING in common with the average North Carolinian family.

Biden is not a 'yes' VP and will not follow in Obama's coat-tails and is his own person and we need that type of contrast in the WhiteHouse. Im proud to state that I have registered around 700 folks for Obama. McCain wont know what hit him when the NC results come in come November 2008!

OBAMA/Biden in 2008!!

I personally don't think anyone won the first debate. In fact, I think I lost for actually sitting through that boring shit.

Truth be told, Obama has very little in common with the average middle class American.

They both suck. Socialism v Fascism 08, FTL.

I think it is safe to say that Obama most likely has the most supporters. The problem he is going to run into is the demographic of many of his supporters, mainly African Americans and young voters. Those are 2 demographics that historically are very poor at actually showing up to vote on election day. And if it is raining on election day, you can forget it.

If his supporters actually show up on election day, he'll win.

^^ you can either vote where you are registered or reregister in NY. I know in the 2004 election I had moved to Greensboro, but it was too late for me to reregister. So I had to drive to Raleigh to vote. At the very least, you can do absentee

im an obama supporter, but i wouldn't say obama clearly won the first debate. i'd agree that it was pretty even... hopefully the rest of the debates will be better than the first one.

Yeah vote in NC, Obama needs your NC vote more then NY or GA, one is clearly dem, GA is clearly repub, so vote in NC.

but yes it was a boring debate, im ready for the economic/and VP debates.

Have any of you donated financially to the Obama campaign. I never donate to political campaigns but I gave $100 to Obama's camp a few months ago.

The NC election will be decided by the degree to which it is snowing in the mountains. This will be the primary means of determining McCain voter turnout.

Obama has the whole mainstream media as a branch of his campaign, but I still think there are enough people out there who see him as the dangerous socialist that he is too keep him from getting elected.

^nice response

what the rest of us heard was cry
followed by a "your wrong" with no supporting evidence or explaination.
topped off with a little more cry

But no one can blame you because the reason you have no supporting evidence is because no one actually knows what Obama is promoting.......we just know it's "different" than what we have. And since what we have = bad, different must != bad.

furthermore, I made no claims about his campaign. I'm not voting.

YOU came here talking about his socialist stance. I want to know what you're talking about, because, I can promise you, it isn't at all what he's talking about.

Quote :
"Campaign workers for Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama are under fire for displaying a flag featuring communist hero Che Guevara. But Obama has his own controversial socialist connections. He is, in fact, an associate of a Chicago-based Marxist group with access to millions of labor union dollars and connections to expert political consultants, including a convicted swindler.

Obama's socialist backing goes back at least to 1996, when he received the endorsement of the Chicago branch of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) for an Illinois state senate seat. Later, the Chicago DSA newsletter reported that Obama, as a state senator, showed up to eulogize Saul Mendelson, one of the "champions" of "Chicago's democratic left" and a long-time socialist activist. Obama's stint as a "community organizer" in Chicago has gotten some attention, but his relationship with the DSA socialists, who groomed and backed him, has been generally ignored. "

so a tangential demographic endorses the guy, and he's a socialist?

he backed a union group, and he's socialist?

have you even looked at the points of his campaign?

christ. you think a federalist would deny support from a racist? I think not.

hell, I'll bet 2 million gays will vote for Obama. This clearly means he's teh ghey, and wants them to usurp the general hetero public in terms of rights.

and that "swindler" shit is relative. you think petrol CEOs aren't swindlers??? come on, man. a suit doesn't make you legitimate.

AFTER LAST NIGHT I DON'T SEE HOW THEY WILL HAVE A PREFERENCE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. IT'S CLEAR THAT HUSSEIN OSAMA BIN LADEN AND HIS BUTT BUDDY DON'T BELIEVE THAT "THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE" SHOULD BE "TAINTED" BY GAYS.

IT'S THE STUPIDEST SHIT I'VE EVER SEEN. HOW IN THE FUCK DOES A MAN MARRYING A MAN NEGATE ANYONE ELSE'S MARRIAGE?

OH NO, THOSE TWO LADIES GOT MARRIED, THAT MEANS WE ARE NO LONGER MARRIED AND OUR VOWS NO LONGER APPLY.

^agreed.

one more reason why i'm not voting.

but seriously, i'm just sick of people being scared to fucking death of the words "communism" and "socialism". of course, they would never work in the wholeness of their elements, but there's absolutely no reason to fear the shit, or ostracize people who mutter the shit. To me, the scarier word is "nationalism". Pride has gotten disgusting.
