Need one for my 05 Impala.
Good Experiences? Bad Experiences? Suggestions?
The torque converter has gone bad and corrupted the tranny. I figured if I'm going to drop $2K I may as well get some additional coverage with it. 10/1/2008 5:30:40 PM |

is your factory warranty still in effect?
the cheapest ones are usually when the car is new.
i've never found a company that will cover a old car. 10/1/2008 5:32:03 PM |

waste of money.
how many miles? what was the original purchase date? factory one is 3yr/36k, unless you're well in excess of that you need to fight gm. that's a pretty unacceptable failure for such a new car unless it's been abused/neglected or has abnormally high miles.
^lots of companies offer extended coverage for used vehicles. it's just financially retarded 90% of the time...

I paid $2000 for a 3 year extension after the factory warranty. In the first year and a half it paid for itself. I believe it was well worth it. It paid most of the cost of an alternator, A/C system, and fuse box. 10/1/2008 9:00:08 PM |

NEVER buy an extended warranty offered by a company other than the manufacturer.

It'll actually be covered under the warranty, i thought it had expired, (mileage, not time) but I've got another 7K miles, so im good. 10/2/2008 12:32:15 PM |
