10/3/2008 3:19:16 AM
not yet, but that's some of the cuisine im kinda excited forthere's a killer korean joint that is near my house that i go to occasionallylike, all the poeple im working with here would eat there for lunch and dinner everday, so i guess it was sorta authenticthey had a great bibimbap, a couple different ingredient types.only had two meals here so far, both pretty basic..i'm also looking for some of the stews.[Edited on October 3, 2008 at 3:26 AM. I like that stirfry they do with the cabbage, pork, those sticky rice cake noodle things, and the spicy sauce. I don't remember what it's called but it was taaaaaaaaasty. Looks like this:I was also digging the kimbap:
10/3/2008 3:35:46 AM

10/3/2008 4:33:08 AM
^ How long are you there for?
10/5/2008 11:34:04 PM
ill be here till the 19th.apparently there's a ferry over to japan, that includes an unlimited rail passi was thinking of doing that this weekend, but i dont even know how long the "ferry" ride isi was told like 3 hours
10/6/2008 12:10:56 AM
It depends where the ferry is taking you. The one that goes to Hakata (Kyushu) is just under 3 hours and is run jointly between the Korean and Japanese rail companies. There's another one that drops you off at Shimonoseki (Yamaguchi prefecture) which takes about 12 hours or something and then you can connect to the shinkansen to get to Osaka or wherever.
10/6/2008 12:18:44 AM
which would be better?im leaning towards the 3 hour one since i'd likely be going saturday morning and returning sunday nightor do you think that'd even be worth it due to a short period
10/6/2008 12:26:34 AM
I would probably do the 3 hour one. From Hakata you can easily catch a shinkansen to Osaka or Kyoto. I think it's about 3 hours on the train from Hakata.
