Hi TWW! So, I'm fostering 2 cats for my vet's office. I've had them for awhile now, and they are ready to find homes. An adoption fee does apply, because they've been kept UTD on shots and all.

Candidate #1: Twix
This cat is approximately 6 months old and has been spayed. She's a really dark tortoiseshell with DARK orange eyes. None of the pictures I have really show them that well.. When I first brought her home, she hid behind the fridge for 3 days, only venturing out to get a little food and use the litter box. She came out of her shell, though, and now meows if she can't find you. She's very laid back and loves to stretch out on anything comfy. She has a soft purr, and will come up to you and beg for attention by stretching her paw out to touch you. She loves to headbutt faces and knead stomachs, legs, arms, even faces. She likes to sleep on my bed at night. I have a big dog, and she hated him at first. Now, though, she loves him. She'll even headbutt his face and purr when she's in a good mood. She also really likes other cats. She just really isn't bothered by anything, and is super chill and affectionate.

Candidate #2: Zero
He was named Zero because when he was found, he had lost so much blood due to ticks and fleas that he had, well, zero blood. (Not literally.. but you get the idea.) He's also about 6 months old, and hasn't been neutered yet. The first day I brought him home, he walked right up to my dog and laid down next to his head. Yeah, he loves big dogs. He is super playful, and will chase anything. He also apparently thinks he's a race car, and zooms around my apartment full speed. He likes to sleeps in my clothes basket, and has an obsession with brooms. He LOVES other cats, and other dogs, and basically anything that will play with him. He isn't the biggest fan of cuddling, but will purr if you even start walking in his direction. He also likes to sleep on my bed at night, but only after he pounces all over your legs if they move.

Please PM me if you're interested, or know someone who might be. Pictures will follow, I promise!

I also found 4 kittens last week, about 6 weeks old. They come from a feral colony but are quickly learning that people are good. They have a vet appointment for tomorrow. All 4 are tabbies, and one has super poofy fur. Three males, 1 female. They haven't been around my dog yet, so I'm sure they'd flip out for a while, but kittens are pretty adaptable. If anyone has questions about their personalities or anything, just ask!

THIS is Twix:

and this is Zero:

Ok, so I named them, mainly to keep track of them but also to start conversation about them. (NONE of them respond to their names at ALL, btw..) Keep in mind that I've only had these guys for a week, and before that they had never been around people. I literally caught them, like I left food out as bait and stood still for a while to grab them as they walked by to get it. They're young, though, and are fast learners (humans bring tasty food). I have a kitten who I also caught when she was about the same age. She hissed at me at first, but now she follows me around and is awesome. So basically, these little guys will bond to whoever feeds them regularly and gives them attention. They might take a little more work than kittens who have been around people their whole life, but (in my opinion) the bonds will be stronger because of the extra attention and complete lack thereof for the first weeks of their life.

In the first picture, the one in the top left is Liono. He's the biggest and the most playful. He makes super cute noises while running around, and is always the first out from under my bed when I get that string toy out. He was also the first to purr! I don't know if his eyes are done changing color, but right now they're a really pretty blue-grey color. He's a solid tabby with no patches of white on him.

The middle one in the first picture is Gandalf. He's also the one in a picture by himself. He has really downy, poofy fur, and a big white patch on his chest that looks like a beard. Hence the name. He also has really cute ear hair. He is Liono's right hand man, and is close behind him wherever the playing takes them. His favorite place is on my bed, all stretched out. Gandalf is funny because while he's not sure about being approached by people yet, if I ignore him he'll come and lay closer.

The one on the bottom right of the first picture is Balrog. He is tiny. Like, he could be a dwarf kitten. He has shorter legs than the other ones, and is SO cute. His little face looks so innocent... but he's not. He got his name because he's the fiercest of the 4. He'll growl and smack at the other kittens when they're all eating together, and try and get as much food as he can. (My kitten still does this with the other fosters, 4 months after I found her.. survival techniques I suppose.) He was the second one to purr, though! I guess he just doesn't like sharing food. As for playtime, he likes to watch the action for a while before joining in. That said, it only takes like 10 seconds of watching before he's chasing string with the best of them.

The fourth one isn't in of these pictures.. thought she was, but apparently not. She is the MOST SHY of all, and the only female. Named her Clydesdale because of her 4 white paws. She'll come out and play with the string toy eventually, but if I make a fast movement she's under the bed as quick as she can go. She's very cute, just very timid. I'll try to find a good picture of her to post here. And better pictures of the individual kittens, too. String toy + photo shoot = bad idea.

the vet appointment went well. she sent me home with a dewormer, and instructions to come back next week for their first vaccinations. two of them had the sniffles, and now those two are getting better but little balrog is getting it, so she's waiting until they finish passing their little cold around until the vaccines.

the little female is still the most frightened when i first walk in the room, but she seems to enjoy being held. liono, the biggest, started purring as soon as i picked him up. balrog is still the most chill. gandalf is pretty sassy. earlier, he kept hissing when i looked at him, but is the first to come up and beg for food. they're all pretty adorable!
