in charlottesville, you have the downtown mall (brick outdoor walking area with some bars, etc) and the Corner, which is closer to campus

they are all pretty frat-tastic, but thats all you'll find in C'ville

"South Street Brewery" is not directly on the mall, but a couple blocks over

"Biltmore" is up a side street near the corner and is ok
"3" is kinda tssk-ungh tssk-ungh (techno-ish) the times ive been there, but not all the time, its at the corner right underneath the traintracks
"Virginian"

there's a wild wings cafe kinda halfway between the areas

i'm sure im forgetting some obvious ones


oh yea, McGrady's is kinda by itself, but decent
its off of preston, which is a block north from downtown.
