I was planning lentil soup for dinner, but now it's going to have to be grilled cheese and tomato soup. That photo is very persuasive. 10/13/2008 2:38:51 PM |

I've decided to try to perfect this recipe. I tried to put a couple of slices of ham in between the two pieces of cheese but I think the ham was too cold and kept the cheese from melting. It was still good but I think I need to turn the heat on the frying pan down some and let it cook a little slower. 10/13/2008 2:47:56 PM |

you can always microwave it too... i like grilling them on the george forman, helps lock in dat heat.

here is my recipe for a grilled cheese sandwich
take some bacon and get it cooking in a pan take some green peppers or red, i prefer the red kind, and some onion and throw it in with the bacon
cook all of that until finished.
put your sandwich bread on a plate and butter the bread. i prefer texas toast style bread put cheese on each slice of bread( i like using cheddar and jack combined) and put the sautéed peppers, onion and bacon on the cheese slices and the put the sandwich together and grill it or fry it however you see fit.
mmm mmmmmmmmm tasty 10/13/2008 2:55:17 PM |

I tried a bastardized Reuben with soy ham a couple months ago just because I kept hearing about them and thought sauerkraut was way too weird to put on a sandwich. I was wrong. 10/13/2008 2:58:25 PM |

grill the ham separate first. then put it in between and grill the sandwich.10/13/2008 3:55:25 PM |
