Adding Favors to an already stellar class would be ridiculous. 2 guards, one big that will probably stick around for a while, and a michael beasley type player.


I'm not going to get my hopes up, but its worth a shot on saturday to see if our fans can impress him. We don't have a football game, so no excuses!

Why would I show up so I can get my hopes up only to have them dashed when Roy or Coach K swoops in at the last minute and shows some interest and he spurns us for them. I am not going to get my hopes up in the least. My feeling towards NC State Athletics is one of indifference and I think Lee Fowler has killed any excitment that was built while I was at school is long gone due to the sheer crapiness of our athletics program.

its easier to track the best players in basketball because of AAU and all the tournaments and such. They end up playing the upper echelon talent. In football, they usually just play the teams in their conference/state, so you don't always see what good football players can do against good competition. A kid could put up amazing numbers, but not get rated high b/c he did it against "inferior" competition when if you put him up against great competition, he could do the same thing. Its not so much like that in basketball, cuz they usually play the best in those tournaments.

THe players that got their panties in a wad and cried when JJ was here will not be playing when/if Favors comes with the exception of Costner (maybe), but I'd argue that he was hurt last year rather than him being a bitch.



And Stars are MUCH more important in basketball. These guys have been playing against the best players in the country at national tournaments since they were freshmen in high school. The best players always rise to the top.

Plus, when you're talking about top 15-25 players...year in and year out they are hands down better than everyone else in their class. 30-100 are usually up for grabs though. You never pass up an opportunity to recruit the best players in the country unless he has issues.

this would be one of the best recruiting classes State has ever seen.

it wasnt JJ's fault last year. He might have had some bad games last year but he was about one

of the only players on our team that played hard every game. Plus, Gavin wont be around

to fuck anyone's girlfriends like last year. ONE of the reasons we got LO Brown was b/c of guess who...

JJ fucking Hickson. Like I said, getting Favors would be HUGE for this program...w/ or w/out Wall.

It will help with recruiting down the road and get us some positive press.

Hickson also helped us land Howell. If we land Favors, its safe to say that 1 year of JJ was the best thing that could have happened to his program because of the players that will be coming in the future.


Personally, I think Gavin was more of a problem than anyone gave him credit for as far as the "chemistry issues" are concerned. He was happy that Herb got run out of town, he was always making stupid comments to the media, and he seemed selfish. I dont know how much of a problem Ben was, but the one common denominator was that these are the kids that Herb left. Blame it on him, or maybe he saw the writing on the wall with the players attitudes.

Lowe is trying his hardest to change it, and I give him a lot of respect for trying to change everyone's attitude during this offseason and admitting his own mistakes. It will only make us better in the future. The worst thing a coach can do is lose and be unwilling to change.

Seriously imagine if Wall and Favors were to come here take us to an ACC Championship and a Final Four, then went off and went 1 and 2 in the NBA draft. How would you not want even the possibility of something like that happening. We would vault back up to elite status. Look how many elite level players are now mentioning Memphis b/c of the recent success they've had.

Going to come down to NCSU/GT for Favors. We are definitely the "darkhorse" for him like we were for Hickson.

2010 PG Commitment will be here as well. So will 2010 stud from Raleigh, Melvin Tabb... and 2011 PG prospect Bishop Daniels.

I also would like to think John Wall will be in the house as well.

BIG DAY for Wolfpack Basketball Recruiting. Who honestly gives a damn about the open practice and the guys running lay-up drills for a couple hours or whatever, but this is a big chance for NC State to show Favors some bigtime love...
