I'd like some suggestions about good day spas. I did a search and everything was at least 2 years old. I'd like something a little nicer than a place in the mall where you go and get just a massage. I was thinking more along the lines of some place you go for the day and you get different sorts of treatments, maybe lunch, a steam, etc. Anyone know of a place like this?

I love love love Generations Salon & Day Spa in Brier Creek.

It's a bit of a hike, but it's all about Aveda and they have great people there. They also offer coupons and specials every month or so on a bunch of different things. I've gone to a few other salons, but I haven't found any that I like as much as this place, and I'm picky about this thing.

La Therapie in Cary has a spa lunch that you can get as part of whatever package deal you want. http://www.ltdayspa.com/ I have never had it, but I have gotten massages there and had waxing done. I like the facility, and of course you can hang out in the sauna area. The changing room is nice and has a big shower you can use and other nice stuff.

Thanks for the responses. I forgot to mention this is a present for my girlfriend and I intend on going as well, so any sort of couples packages would be great.

I had a couples' massage at La Therapie. Call them and ask if they can do a package deal for couples.

I go to Jolie in Cameron Village for massages and waxing. I really enjoy the atmosphere - it's very private and relaxing. They have all kinds of packages and treatments for reasonable prices.

Jolie's prices are certainly the most reasonable I've come across, and the services are pretty good - not the best, but you get what you pay for, I guess. Their facility isn't anything to write home about. Iatria is great - very luxurious and beautiful, and the room for the couples' massage is fantastic.

I didn't like Iatria when I went.

I went to the one in NRal, but maybe the one in Cary is better.

I went to Massage Envy several months ago in Cary & loved it! Don't know if they do all the other stuff though. Tanas Hair Designs (several locations thru out the triangle) also has good services & professional staff.

I've been to the one on Wade Ave. Its called Synergy I think. I could have just sat in their waiting area all day and been happy. It was so relaxing in there.
