Ok i put it off and need to take a Lit class my last semester. From the list of 200 level Lit classes which was the most fun? I was in 221 Western Lit and dropped it because we had to read to much. I shoulda stayed in. I enjoy reading, but he wanted us to read the entire Iliad, Odyssey, Aeneid, and Inferno. 10/16/2008 11:07:23 AM |

I'm in that. Dr. Kerr is an outstanding, outstanding professor. The course is easy, you just do the reading and every class is just an open discussion -- everyone's opinion counts, theres no right or wrong answer.10/16/2008 9:10:56 PM |

I'm taking Fiction now (209) and its a lot of fun. There is a lot of reading, but they stories are all enjoyable and I can catch up on reading, which I haven't done in years. 10/17/2008 12:06:21 AM |

I'm in 266 right now with charles and I have to admit, his lecture style is fairly interesting. He has a discussion-based class rather than him just lecturing, so i find it pretty entertaining seeing as i dont really like english that much. His shows are broadcast on the raleigh community channels on tuesday and thursday at like 9:30 I think. Watch a class or two and see if it's something you might like or not 10/17/2008 1:17:48 AM |

yeah I was gonna say take 221 with Kellner, he'll challenge you but he's the man and he's very fair, but since it's not offered next semester, you could take part two, of Western Lit instead, I think he is teaching that next semester

I don't know, I would say roughly an hour of reading per week-- its quite manageable. To be honest, you could get away with not reading at all (though I don't condone that) because only a handful of folks in the class participate in the discussions. She splits the Odyssey into 6 parts and you only have to read 1 part. Otherwise, one book is typically spread across 1-2 weeks depending on the length. Shes extremely reasonable in her workload, its quite light.10/17/2008 8:54:03 PM |

I would definitely recommend ENG 219 with Dr. Fosque. One of the best classes I've ever taken at NCSU. 10/17/2008 9:02:52 PM |

I took 221 with [I believe] Kerr. It was a very easy A. There were like 15 people at the most in my class and her test were not too killer. 10/18/2008 12:04:03 AM |

Agreed anything with Dr. Kerr is cake...she is extremely nice and understanding...I had a friend turn in the final paper after the final and she still gave him credit and was completely cool with it 10/29/2008 11:54:58 PM |
