ALS 303 Professional Development and Career Opportunities in Agriculture and Life Science
I was a transfered student to NCSU. My major right now is BCH...is there a way i can get OUT of taking ALS 303? What is that anyway? I've heard a few people have done that. Anyone know the procedure? Thank you! 10/20/2008 7:24:52 PM |

No, well you can.. but you have to have a scheduling conflict. Then if you do you will have to still do most of the work, but you won't have to go to class. I had to do a mock interview, submit a resume, and do a little online workshop thing. I don't think the class is that bad though, once a week for an hour. 10/20/2008 11:38:53 PM |

yes, you can...if you took a course in your other university similar to this one. i suggest you talk to your advisor and see what they can do. 10/20/2008 11:46:26 PM |

I was the TA for this class a couple of semesters ago. What the person above said was right. A couple of weeks after the class started the instructor got a list of everyone who didn't really have to take the class (because apparently it's fairly hard to get in to) and a bunch of people dropped to free up spots for people who needed it. If you've taken a similar course (interview skills, resumes, etc.) then you should be able to get out of it. 10/22/2008 10:39:25 PM |

i ended up taking it also after transfering to NCSU.
at first they were just gonna get me to take any ol' 1 hour course, like a PE, then they said I had to take it. It wasnt bad. it was actually helpful.
you can try to convince them you've taken something similar, but they may not budge. 10/24/2008 10:59:24 PM |
