Where is the best place to get a cheap tank/exchange/refill for propane? I have one tank now but would like to get a second for back up. The gas station near my house sells full tanks for $52 and exchanges for $22.

I think my last exchange at Home Depot was about $16, but I'm sure it fluctuates just like anything else in this economy based on supplier prices. You could give them a call.

I've heard you can get them filled at the propane plant on 55 in Holly Springs and save some money, but it's pointless to drive all the way out there for grill size tanks IMO.

There is a place in Wake Forest that you can get a cylinder filled for like $11 but then you have to go to Wake Forest to get it.

^ I live 10 minutes north of Wake Forest and drive through twice a day so that would work. Do you know the name?

There are two gas and oil companies on White street right here. I cannot remember which one it is, but they used to fill my bottles cheap as fuck when I worked up there.

the uhaul place on capital fills tanks, but hell, $20-25 for an exchange is nothing, just man up and do it, is it really worth all that trouble to save $5

^ I can easily run by Holding Oil since I drive through Wake Forest everyday. I would not drive from Raleigh though.
