They aren't even gonna show UNC's games, they'll show a continuous shot of him on the bench with Vitale or Mike Patrick or someone saying "NOT BEING ON THE COURT IS JUST TEARING HIM UP INSIDE! i heard a stress reaction is basically the same thing as a bone bruise but that the best way to heal it is to stay off of it
hopefully he decides to heal it by willing himself off of a balcony into a swimming pool again] 10/31/2008 12:15:45 AM |

man that sucks. I've had shin splints before and they are a pain. I was forced to run in PE101 and told the instructor and he didn't care. I finally convinced him to let me use the bike to take off the impact and he let me. They will still come back to me if I play ball, with all the jumping and hard landing on the hardwood.

They are going to use this to say he's still recovering from it all season and that he just has so much heart to play through that kinda pain. I hate when they try and take a player like that and try and make him an even bigger story.

And to the guy who says he won't be any good in the NBA....WRONG. I'm no Tarheel apologist and I'm not saying he will be an all-star, but he will be a solid role player. 10/31/2008 4:28:08 PM |

Don't really see that happening... the refs in the NBA won't blow the whistle when someone breathes on him like they're trained to do in the ACC.

this guy has too much skill and works too hard to be a 7th or 8th man. He will be like Leon Powe (well, maybe Powe is the 7th man, I dunno) has been for Boston, he just has to be in the right situation.
I'm a Tarheel hater just as much as the next guyState fan, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to talent and skill. 11/1/2008 12:33:49 PM |

you people are so wrong it's ridiculous. Even Shav Randolph has been able to stay on some teams. He's not playing a single minute, but he's still on the roster. If you don't think Hans-bro will play in the NBA you are seriously retarded or don't know what basketball is. 11/1/2008 2:21:41 PM |

^ just lots of denial here. Hansbrough will be a nice role player... never a star, though.
Jake fucking Voskuhl carved out a nice little 7-8 year career in the NBA and Hansbrough won't? Ok... The only way that happens is if he pulls a Josh McSoberts and gets so pissed off that he isn't playing that he just whines, cries and doesn't try his way right out of the league...
Quote : | "what you forget, though, is that the nba is not basketball." |
Oh, yeah... I forgot that a 19' 3 pointer, slapping the floor on defense, hand checking and flopping (not to mention sickly poor shooting) is "real basketball." I used to crack up when Vitale/Patrick would call Jay Williams "the best PG in the NBA even when he was in college." The motherfucker was dominating scrubs like Archie Miller and Justin Gainey... not exactly NBA level athletes...
