Whenever I don't visit forums for a while and then go to them, threads i haven't seen have been marked as read. Getting rid of that feature and a mark threads button will make sure threads aren't missed.

Or hitting refresh will mark all the current threads displayed (not the new ones i haven't seen because I haven't refreshed the board yet) as read and leave the threads in the sections that I haven't visited as new.

if you use netscape visited links (threads) will be a different color
