I am curious to know what people on here really are and how religious they are. Its not a debate, you just state what you are and how religious are you.

I'm Catholic, so Christian and very religious, but I also respect other's practices.

Southern Baptist

i believe in the doctrines of the King James Bible almost completely, but im not the greatest ambassador towards a christian mindset and lifestyle...obviously

i feel the teachings are the truth, I dont believe in non-denominational services (theyre crap) and i get up and leave a church service if they read out of anything other than the King James Version of the Bible

and no im not gonna sit there and argue with some college nitwit faggot about it

non denominational services are the ones that are supposedly "open to all religions"

they dont mention the name of Jesus, or any god

and they pray in carefeully scripted prayers and shit

u see it with like football team Chaplains and at camps and things

its so that no one "is offended" its better to just not have a service

everyone brings whatever bible they use, or none at all, and the preacher just sits up there and runs his mouth without any biblical reference, just speaking very generally

no.

a non-denominational service is a service in which there is particular denomination being serviced

you can be a jew, a christian, some kinda muslim or a buddhist in the same service and you wont feel like youre in the wrong place

youll just feel like you wasted an hour of your life

i've only really ever heard it used with non-denominational christians

then there are unitarian universalists. those are the ones people think are crazy

but i don't really judge other people and what they do. it obviously works and means something tot hem

umm... have you ever been to a nondemoniational church? maybe there are a few like that, but most arent. most of my teenage yrs i attended nondenomiational churches and they all said jesus' name, they didnt pray carefully scripted prayers, etc. they are nondemoniational bc they arent catholics, baptists, lutheran, etc but most of them have their own certian beliefs and systems that just dont necessarily fit in w one of the said denomiations above.

now you tell me whether either one of these two churches speaks to any particular doctrine or is it just a religious highlight reel after sitting in one for an hour

maybe its not noticeable to some fool who didnt grow up goin to church but otherwise its easy to notice

Baptist. Yep the non-denominational stuff is crap. I can't stand going to these new-age churches and seeing them change the service all around. They are crap too. I like traditional churches not wierdo's in cut up blue jeans singing the whole time.

they actually are pretty good churches (most times, one i went to though believed in faith healing, the preacher thought he could speak in tongues, and were into snake handling )

btw not all nondenomitaional churches are "modern" where services are completely upside down, people playing rock music, etc. some of them (like the ones i used to go to) actually have very traditional services. very few nondenomiational churches are alike....

I was raised Christian, but eventually I just stopped believing in it. Or maybe I never believed in it. A person can only take so many fake conversations with "God" before they lose it.
