I have one in the making. I just have to see how it pans out, but for now just post an amazing story of a girl wasting money that you know.

My gf refuses to shop for anything online for absolutely no reason. Even buying from major stores and doing things like in store pickup, she refuses to buy anything at all even if its a much better money saving deal.

Complaining about not having any money, having your cell phone get cut off every month, threats of your car being repoed because you can't pay your car payment on time......but needing a separate closet for all your shoes and purses.

Most things I've bought have defied all kinds of logic.

OK, this girl is hooked on The Wire, and she refuses to rent from Netflix for a month or two at the rate of 9/month so she can send DVDs back and fourth to watch all the seasons, then cancel the account, so she'd rather buy the seasons at $60 a pop.

Being in massive amounts of debt but blowing $500 without blinking on clothes

When you already have clothes in your own closet, my closet, the guest room closet, the attic, and my brothers closet.

that doesn't defy logic

What's wrong with wanting to have the seasons forever?

Buying them is not worth it, you'll only watch them once most likely.

[Edited on December 1, 2008 at 1:08 PM. Reason : watching an episode at dinner and before bed every single day for years on end will do that]

Now spending $375 on sunglasses may defy logic

BUT I didn't pay tax on them because the place wrote them up as a pair of prescription sunglasses, and you don't pay tax on prescriptions in NC

Hey if one can afford $60 a pop for something that you most likely are only going to watch once, more power to ya.

i know a girl who bought an H3 Hummer, mainly because it had a backup camera

then proceeded to be late for a meeting because she backed into someone else's car

she got rid of a Mazda when gas was ~$4.00 / gal to get a Hummer

In all fairness, my cousin is pretty idiotic with money too. Dude just got fired from his 4th job this year. He has a wife that doesn't work and a 2 year old daughter. They get government assistance, don't have a car, and have bills out the ass. Yet, the dude buys pretty much every x-box game that comes out, has like 6 Rock Band guitars, and a 52 inch. Plasma HD.

I mean, I have only been without a job for 1 week in the past 10 years, and I don't have a plasma or an x-box.

i talked my husband into getting a kitty -- i talked him into by figuring it would only cost us around $150. here we are - 1 week later - and minus $350 in the bank account.

SHIT, I WOULD LOVE AN HD TV! I just know the second I buy one some shit will go down that will wipe out my savings account. Come to think of it, I haven't bought a new pair of shoes in about 5 years either.

I have lots of high priced items....is it ok that I got some sort of deal on them? I doubt I paid full price for anything that was expensive.

Now whether I had the money at the time is a different question.

the logic here is:

buy now, complain about money/being poor to bf later.
