I guess when the previous owner replaced the cat they routed the wire up against the exhaust, any problem with cutting it and moving it and splicing it back together? I'm assuming corrosion in the splice would be the only concern, but im thinking a good splice and heat shrink tube should keep me good.

anyone see a problem with this?

no. a lot of replacement sensors require splicing actually (universal vs. direct fit).

they have it routed up over the manifold instead of between it and the engine

it may be just as easy to just re-route it though, i'll be under there soon doing some work anyways
