Saigon... shit; I'm still only in Saigon... Every time I think I'm gonna wake up back in the jungle. When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle. I'm here a week now... waiting for a mission... getting softer; every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around, the walls moved in a little tighter.

My grandfather took me with him, he's been several times with various friends and family members. We pretty much just toured the area. Went to Pattaya Beach for a day and checked out Walking Street that night. Went to Kanchanaburi and to the bridge over the River Kwai one day. Of course the nightlife around Bangkok is interesting...

Actually, my papa and his brother left for Singapore last Sunday, and they flew into Thailand for a few days. They'll be back this Tuesday I think.

I thought I saw you mention going to Thailand in another thread, but I didn't read enough to see why. So what are you going to do for a month in Thailand?

Well, I'm going all over the place. I'll only have a week in Thailand. We're going down to Phuket for a couple of days and then over to Bangkok. Phuket is just to bum around the beach and we'll do some sightseeing in Bangkok. I wish we have more time to do stuff like the River Kwai but that will have to be saved for another time

Thailand was good! I absolutely loved Koh Phi Phi. Bangkok was pretty good but I think I was just ready to go home by the time I got there When I'm not feeling lazy and cold I'll upload some pics.
