The Z wins, but not by much.

if by 350, you mean 370, then yes, it does. 12/16/2008 11:18:50 AM |

I'd still take the Bimmer. Almost identical performance, but it seems much more practical.

I'd take the 135i. The 350z has had some major issues/concerns that still yet to be resolved it seems. I'd hate to buy a 370z and gamble on if they've fixed the oil consumption and gearbox/clutch assembly issues... 12/16/2008 12:17:22 PM |

Thing is, the 370z is an attractive car, and the 135i is short and stubby-looking. 12/16/2008 5:23:48 PM |

which one handles better??
Usually Americans are short sighted and after watching NASCAR only judge a car by sheer horsepower 12/16/2008 10:53:56 PM |

No way I'd drive that ugly 1 series. I'm guessing that the Z is the more satisfying ride. Of course that assessment is based of its higher horsepower rating and lighter weight and not much else
If I had to pick one without driving them I'd go with the Z.12/17/2008 10:59:48 AM |

^^ well that too, but reading is more convenient to get a quick answer. 12/17/2008 11:29:45 AM |

^True
^^ Looks wise, the Z wins. I'm sure driving wise, the Z is a little bit more fun than the 135i. However, from an ownership point of view, I'm going to bet the 135i is more "reliable" of the two here. Nissan has had a few issues that I'm not comfortable with recently and I've yet to see any solution to them... Don't discriminate on the 135i just b/c of it's looks. At least drive the damn thing first Pat. 12/17/2008 11:43:48 AM |

I don't care how that car drives, it looks like a Hyundai Elantra!
I'm well aware of the problems suffered by the 350Z (my friend has a 2003 on its 3rd transmission) and I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't have solved the problem by now. 12/17/2008 12:58:34 PM |

Women love the 1 series. I've seen at least 6 driving one. No men so far. 12/17/2008 2:17:31 PM |

Nissan has revised the Z's manual transmission three times. First was for the synchros, then vibration, then vibration again.
Im sure the Z will be more reliable than a BMW, especially in the long run when the warranties run out. My G35 has only been to the dealership for a broken cup colder spring and it has 82k miles on it. I feel stupid for paying almost 2 grand for the extended warranty 12/17/2008 2:26:50 PM |
