12/18/2008 2:44:08 PM
It's okay Charles, I love our electric blanket too!
12/18/2008 2:47:06 PM
they're too hot. get a decent blanket and they're completely unnecessary.
12/18/2008 2:49:31 PM
the best thing about electric blankets is that the bed is already warm when you get in
12/18/2008 2:51:12 PM
And our kittens love them!
12/18/2008 2:52:18 PM
Too hot? There are 10 settings, I keep it at like a 4, depending on how cold the room isI also have a fan blowing, for noise
12/18/2008 2:57:48 PM
12/18/2008 3:11:03 PM
i sleep under a sheet and two blankets in the winter. i run a fan for noise too. i never get the slightest bit cold at night. an electric blanket at any setting other than off would make me too hot.OMG PPLS LIKE THINGS DIFFERENT THAN ME!?!?[Edited on December 18, 2008 at 3:14 PM. Reason : and that material they make them out of is itchy as hell. like a cheap amtrak blanket]
12/18/2008 3:13:26 PM
All electric blankets I know of are made to be used like this:Your body > sheet > electric blanket > whatever. They aren't designed to be next to your skin.[Edited on December 18, 2008 at 3:20 PM. Reason : ]
12/18/2008 3:20:14 PM
yeah, sheets don't move. there's no way that electric blanket could possibly touch my skin throughout the course of a night.
12/18/2008 3:22:02 PM
I like to have it on when I get in bed during the winter -- helps warm me up. If it's on for any length of time I'll get too hot and sweat. Yuck...
12/18/2008 3:23:27 PM
outdated by about 20 years.
12/18/2008 3:31:24 PM
not a fan
12/18/2008 3:32:24 PM
^ Basically. When I was like 4, my grandma let me use hers. R.I.P
12/18/2008 3:33:19 PM
If the blanket is itchy to your skin at the slightest touch, you must have some sensitivity conditionOr you're using some bo-bo brandWalmart Sunbeam ftw
12/18/2008 4:13:01 PM
I have a heated mattress pad, but I haven't used it this winter.
12/18/2008 4:21:11 PM
my mom put a sunbeam one on my bed when i was a kid. i thought it was itchy.
