Rap is usually pretty fucking unbearable live unless you get somebody who is absolutely on fire on a given night (like LL at the MTV video awards that one year) or they actually have musicians like The Roots.

Living Legends has 8 members, but I agree it's pretty tough. And Doomtree has 9 members, but they don't really record or tour as a group... they're more like a collective than a true group.
