Do you have siblings evan? I had an uncle who was gay and was always depressed and an alcoholic. None of my aunts and uncles cared to talk to him. He died of TB at an early age in his late 30's, I think he might have had other diseases (AIDS) but no one said anything of it. Just be careful and live happily. I think nowadays people are more tolerant of others, especially in larger cities. It always helps to have good friends.
