pretty sad that people still get really into the whole star wars thing. i mean, its what, 30 years old?

that being said, these two really put a lot of effort into making this. that light saber had to be digitally added for every frame didn't it?

no, they used real lightsabers.

[NERD]Light sabers usually come with the dead switch, which turns it off when its dropped. This is seen throughout the fight where the saber shuts off if it isn't being held for more than a few seconds. There is a delay so they can do the little tosses and stuff during a fight. The throw at the end does shut off the saber, but he ignited it right when he released it, giving it enough of a window to kill just before the dead switch turned the saber off. You can hear the saber shut off past the frame.[/NERD]

takes a team to produce something that high quality, digital short. I wonder how much time it took to do the actual project. Wished I had some Fx skills like that for video editing.

there are some FAQ videos with those two guys in it. Looks like they did most everything by themselves. The place they were in was a tortilla factory or something.

yeah, watched them all earlier. They are based in LA but the shoot was in Atlanta, GA. Took them 6 months to edit the effects in with just the two main guys but they said they had two other on set to help film and do other stuff. Basically a four man team with a ton of other people donating money or time. Very cool that they had an actual orchestra and an original music piece.
