it got rained upon. Now neither screen works. Chances it will work when it dries?

(no i did not drop it in the toilet)

eh, i'd pull the battery and just let it sit out a few days.. the rice idea might actually be decent. not sure i'd try the oven although it may actually work to help dry it out

if you're tech savvy at all, taking it apart and drying it with a hair dryer is how i usually do it

yeah, the rice will pull the moisture out of the phone

just go to the store and get a bag of dry rice and throw the phone in there, remove the battery

Take out everything you can and dry it off while letting the unit dry out. Hope and pray your shit works. It did for my roommate after she did that.

oh i put this bitch in the oven for like 30 minutes and it turned on, the screens lit up but there was still water up in there. like 98% of the water is gone now so i don't care as much. thanks tww

So if the window was open, and it rained on your phone - what's the condition of the rest of the area around the phone? Did it rain inside?

it was on the windowsill everything looked dry but when i picked up my phone there was water beneath it

back in the day i had a cheap SE phone that got dumped in water when i rolled a canoe and got washed twice and worked fine. recently i had a "waterproof" nextel that died in a puddle of water.

afriend got so drunk he pissed his pants when he passed out, he peed on the side with his phone and had the same result. he let the phone die and waited three days and the phone worked fine when he charged it up.
