I got a skiing trip which would normally be ftw but its on the same weekend as the NFC and AFC Championship games so if the Panthers have a home game then it will kinda suck

that would suck to have to miss that game

but given what it would mean for the team if it happens, i hope you have to miss your home nfc championship game

I rely on Christmas to keep my feet warm throughout the year!

these were not very thick though

although not very thin either, if anything they were quite mediocre in thickness

well fair enough

I like the hiking socks that wick sweat away from the feet... in fact I like to have those very thin sox and thick ones to put over top if it is cold

layers... that's the way to dress

socks are bullshit presents

no two ways about it

Anything I can buy in a 6 pack and can't drink is not something I want to unwrap Christmas morning

I guess you're not as practical a person as me

or maybe you've just lost the true spirit of Christmas... let me show you a few dozen TV Xmas specials, k?

maybe you have lost the true spirit of christmas

the point is to get shit you're excited about...not shits you go pick up at Target when you want to postpone doing your laundry for another week

I get excited about socks

where I live I can't just drive my SUV over to Target and throw away my dirty socks... there's like ONE Target for all of NYC

I was really touched that my family considered my needs and met them with their gifts

it was better than getting some flashy gimcrack or geegaw that I won't use

nothing against my family's gifts, but ever since I stopped asking for specific stuff (like when middle school ended) i haven't really gotten anything stupendous, except last year i got the US Open trip

so now i actually spend more time trying to figure out what my mom and sister want

Fleece NCSU hoodie, would be great except the red is just a shade too light, makes the whole thing look pink.

I got socks, but they have patterns that they knew I would like so at least some thought was put into it.

pajamas were my most mediocre gift because I rarely wear them unless its cold.

this thread reminds me of my gma cameron. mmmmm
She loves to give socks and thermals. I think they are the best gifts...then again I am very practical.
