12/26/2008 7:04:12 PM
hibachi gets my wang activated.
12/26/2008 8:03:27 PM
I went there at it wasn't bad. Then again i don't really ever taste my food i just inhale it.
12/26/2008 8:21:32 PM
I had their sushi once there. it wasn't all that great and i only ate one piece b/c the wasabi was hidden in it and I didn't know
12/26/2008 8:25:53 PM
RAWR RAWR RAWRKING DOUCHEBAG HEREDON'T YOU EVEN STARTHAPPY KWANZAA, FOLKS
12/26/2008 8:43:59 PM
Eh...it's fast and fills my tummy. Not the greatest, but it does the job. I like the rice bowls and the gyoza. Haven't tried the sushi b/c that's $$ I'd rather spend at a high-quality sushi place.
12/26/2008 8:46:57 PM
^^ hahaha niceand no, it's far from the worst hibachi. the pad thai sucks, but the hibachi is pretty damn good. havent tried the sushi yet
12/26/2008 9:00:40 PM
At least 15%, or else next time he'll stick his dick in it.For those who don't tip, enjoy your dick pizzas.

The place in Mission Valley and the one near UT are, in my opinion, far worse, especially for the money. None of those places are going to have decent sushi, you know that going into it.
12/27/2008 1:55:11 AM
i aint had main garden in forever...parents suggested it after graduation cause i told them about it before but i didnt want to go to cary
12/27/2008 1:59:37 AM
Are you talking about Akari Express in Mission Valley??? If so I kind of enjoy the hibachi they have there.
12/27/2008 2:23:03 AM
They're slow...not the 'worst'. There are other places that have much lower standards. The place near UT is the worst for food, period. Nothing like ordering wings and having them still raw and cold in the center.
12/27/2008 3:14:24 AM

average jap steakhouse > hibachi express > hibachi sushi > sakura express >>>> akarii still eat at akari every now and then, but they pre cook all their hibachi stuff, which means it doesn't taste nearly as good. they just grab a few lumps of meat and a spoon of veggies and off you go
12/27/2008 9:59:34 AM
i went there on the 23rd and on top of shitty food they wrote in a tip for $2. motherfuckers.dont go there
12/27/2008 6:14:46 PM
When I first went there it took them 10 minutes to get my order in and the put it in wrong four times. Then, I swear to god, a 10 year old kid rolls in and starts running the register. The food is subpar. The only thing they didn't screw up was the edamame (hard to screw up) and the veggie tempura.

that is why you always either put $0.00 in for the tip and fill in the total blank with the actual totalor just put a line through both of the blanks
1/10/2009 5:10:24 PM
hmm.... I thought it was decent for the price. and they usually have a hard time running things when there's more than 1 person in line. ^that's fucked up though.

^^ In my 6 years of owning a credit card, it's never been a problem before, but I definitely will start doing that from now on.
1/10/2009 5:13:39 PM
for some reason i just do not like the guy always at the registeri did not know we were supposed to put our plates in like the bus pan near the bathroom - he told the person i was eating with that we needed to put our plates in it so she put them infuck him - i paid for your food clean it up yourself bitch
1/10/2009 5:51:27 PM
Yeah I had no idea what to do with the stuff there. I figured if there weren't any visible trash cans or a place to put your tray they'd bus like Bojangles'.Not like I'm ever going back.

i have gotten take out from this place a few times, and really liked it.
1/10/2009 6:03:15 PM
FTW
1/10/2009 6:24:18 PM
pan near the bathroom? the only trash can there is up front by the door.unless we aren't talking about Akari.I go there at least once a week, find it QUITE edible for a hole in the wall.yeah, I think some of you are talking about somewhere else. The first time I went there they told me I could leave my shit on the table....that was months ago.and I've had worse sushi at SEVERAL places in Raleigh.[Edited on January 10, 2009 at 7:00 PM. my god, seriously? i've given it two tries, and Hibachi Express has the worst sushi I've ever had in my entire life. By far.

akari in mission valley is great... used to eat there all the time when i lived on that side of the world
1/11/2009 6:34:17 PM
I tried the pineapple fried rice once (take out) and it wasn't that bad but there wasn't enough pineapple and after I ate all the pieces the rest had very little flavor. Huge portion though.
1/11/2009 6:44:09 PM
hows the shrimp sauce?
1/11/2009 6:46:41 PM
last time it was a little too thin/watery/whatever you wanna call it. hoping for a better showing next time
1/11/2009 6:54:47 PM
1/11/2009 6:55:03 PM
agreed, though the hibachi is pretty cheap when they have the specials...something like $5-$6 with drink]
1/11/2009 7:05:18 PM
I can't eat hibachi, and the sushi rolls were really small. Meat was skinnier than my pinky finger, and at $5 or $6 for a roll with nothing else in it that's just not worth it. I can pay $5 or $6 a lb for fishies and make my own, which I do now. Add some avocado and cucumber and it's much better.
