So I know very little about computers...I just downloaded a game and when I try to start it, I get the message "Please enable Direct3D acceleration. You can do this by starting
dxdiag and enabling Direct3D Acceleration in the Display 1/2 tab
after installing DirectX8.1b (or later) and the lastest drivers for
your graphics card."[b] Can someone walk me through what I need to do?

i have no clue whatsoever in the slightest at all but maybe this might work:

step 1: install the latest drivers for your graphics card
step 2: install directx 8.1b (or later)
step 3: run dxdiag
step 4: make sure direct3d acceleration is enabled in the display 1/2 tab
