Despite being almost physically unable to bring myself to say "labradoodle" or "golden doodle," they are pretty fucking rad dogs in my experience. And they don't shed.

^^^Whatever floats your boat.

^Yupp. Not like labs are low key either. And it doesn't help that every family that gets a doodle never trains it and lets it run wild.

But yeah, I wouldn't pay that much for ANY dog. That's what a good trail horse costs.

The best is the ginormous labradoodle in our class that already has to take sedatives to ride in the car and has massive ear infections because the owners didn't know they'd need to have it groomed every month.

At all of my previous animal jobs the number one jumper would be fucking labs and they'yre usually huge to overweight. They have no regard for themselves so they knock into shit while pummeling you and don't even blink.

Poodles just fucking run everywhere and rarely respond to verbal commands.

So great idea on mixing the two together for that "hypoallergenic" label. Now more assholes can own crazies.

Same said to bulldogs. Those stubborn dogs need a fierce handler.

Cute as puppies, fucking boulders as dogs.

It's the dog that's untrained because they didn't put one iota of effort into researching what they were getting into that makes the owner an asshole. Not blaming the dog at all, just the cause and effect here.

I'd go ahead and say pit bull. A lot of breeds can "attack" and do but it's the strong jawed breeds that do the most damage, get national attention and lead to city-wide bans.

^^In my experience chows and malinois are just bad apples. Even with training they are still very unpredictable and WILL bite.

[Edited on January 3, 2009 at 9:10 PM. Reason : I think german shepherds are highest ranked for attacks b/c they're most common tho]

yea, I don't understand the pay-for-mutt market. I see too many dogs dying in pounds to even consider paying for a dog...

nope.
pits are one of the strongest, but definitely not one of the most agressive (at all in the least-you can train a german shephard to be just as destructive).

according to gentics and studies (at least...mind everyone this is something i have learned via nc state and me being a dork)

That's true, we kept close eyes on chows but their population is so low, at least where I've been that the reports and incidents are few and far between.

I've personally seen pit bull, and bull dogs snap though wanting nothing more than to kill it's victim (ie not stopping even after victim quits defending self, etc)

tee hee

i have a shih tzu, a shih poo, and a pit-doberman mix, (which by the way me and cod CONSTANTLY have to stick up for) my poor baby

ehe for the record from what i understand...the most aggressive dog DOES come from the terrier family, but it is...the yorkshire terrier.

seriously
craziness

According to this dachshunds, chihuahuas, and jack russels are the most aggressive. I can see this. But big dogs cause more harm. Pit bulls were originally used as nannies to watch over children, they are not instinctively vicious to people. It's their incredible desire to please and obey humans that has been their downfall. Instead of being trained in obedience, they are forced to fight. That said, like any dog they need socialization and training.

Doesn't surprise me, though I was gonna say jack russell.

So cute, so cuddly, want to squeeze, oh fuck it just bit the shit out of my kid.

Accessories don't need training! Sillies!
