1/6/2009 5:45:29 PM
i think after my laptop and a ps3 (for blueray mostly), a new couch is gonna be the next thing I buy... the ones i like though are looking to be in the 1200-2500 dollar buck range, so I feel your pain
1/6/2009 5:50:57 PM
I'm looking at a sofa / loveseat for like 1500 combined, but I haven't made my mind up about that yet.I didn't spend anywhere near the almost $170,000 in expenses I had in December ]
1/6/2009 5:59:54 PM
if you get something good, it's worth the money. if you're going for cheap, you should be able to find a sofa/loveseat new for around $1k. but if you're trying to get something that will hold up for 10-15 years, you should be spending closer to $1000-1500 for a loveseat and $1500-2500 for a couch.and you're close enough - why not shop the highpoint furniture market samples? all you have to do is wait until April. it isn't that far way.

I'm waiting to furnish the rest of the place. The stuff I got was for the room over the garage. I'm gonna put nicer furniture where I'll entertain.
1/8/2009 11:17:36 PM
I definitely spent 10k on furnishings as soon as I moved into my condo.Been here almost a year and I'm still really only half done =\

you dont buy ikea if you are going for quality or longevity, two things that you should be most concerned with when buying furniture
1/9/2009 12:26:59 AM
