I need to merge two PDF files and rearrange several pages. So far using acrobat its more of a hassle to arrange things with a preview. I guess i can keep using but i didn't know if there was a program that let me have a broader view of the pages and switch them around. 1/7/2009 3:05:08 PM |

Acrobat has to the be the most and annoying program in existence. If never fails to slow things down, or crash the browser, and generally be a pain with updates. 1/7/2009 4:40:50 PM |

What program did you use? I would've just used Acrobat's "Create PDF from Multiple Files" or whatever but like you said, its kind of a hassle 1/7/2009 4:41:39 PM |

I used Nitro PDF Pro (http://www.nitropdf.com/professional/support/manual/reorder_pdf_pages.htm)
Not only did I have to merge two or more documents, I had to take the merged document and reorder the damn thing completely.
It has a thumbnail pane that you can scale around and gives an outline of your PDF in the thumbnail. I can click, drag, crop, etc while visually seeing what I am doing to the entire document.

Acrobat reorders pages easily:
View -> Navigation Panels -> Pages, or just click the paper icon on the left column. Drag the thumbnails to reorder the pages as you wish. 1/8/2009 6:36:46 PM |
