My car has been giving me grief about starting in cold weather.
Now, tonight, in the mid 30s, it was giving me the same grief.

It'll sputter, sputter some more, maybe turn over a time or two, and then die out. Depending on just how cold it is, I can get it started in the next try, or sit there for ten minutes before goes.

First time: one saturday morning at like buttcrackodawn:30...12/6 according to my calendar. Low recorded that day 26. Took a longass time to get it to go.
Second time: 12/9, 7 or 8. Lowest temp recorded that day is 35. Turned over, sounded like my battery was dead, went on the 2nd or 3rd try, and then halfway out of the parking space (in reverse, but no gas...was on a hill), it died. Spent maybe 2 or 3 minutes working on it.
Then tonight, it gave me just a bit of trouble...the least yet. Temp on WRAL now is 39. It sputtered some, and sounded like dying pig. And then it started.

There was one other time, but I can't remember what date, so I can't guesstimate the temp. Somewhere between 25 and 45...I didn't realize until now how badly I suck at estimating the temperature

No other signs of battery problems, and I've run down the battery once or twice since I've had the car (October 07).

its very possible that the battery is going out, and after a cold start, it pulls so much of a load on the alternator it stalls the car

take it by advance auto parts, they'll test the battery for free
