Israeli shells struck the U.N. headquarters in the Gaza on Thursday, setting their humanitarian aid warehouse under fire, and drawing a sharp rebuke from the U.N. chief who called it an "outrage." Few links here:

I agree that Israel have the right to defend iteself, attacks its neighbour, and strikes U.N. facilities and properties. This right come from unlimited political support, and biased media in US.
I was one of those who organized the silent protest couple of days ago in the brickyard. While I am glad for what we did in a short time, I found that our outreach is limited to 150 students only here in NCSU (<0.4%, including ourselves). That is why I am using wolf web to discuss this issue. Any other suggestion or help to increase our outreach!? 1/16/2009 5:40:57 AM |

making two new threads in an hour on a topic that already has multiple threads is probably the best first step. 1/16/2009 7:36:30 AM |

How about you be more fair when you hold your little protests? I saw the e-mail your group sent out to people:
Quote : | "This is not intended to be a political statement, it will be a simple show of compassion for a people enduring great suffering." |
If it wasn't meant to be a political statement, then your protest would have been for an all out cease-fire and the end of suffering for both sides. But no, all you did was accuse Israel of this and that without any recognition of Israeli suffering.
I've said it in a few of these threads already but I'll say it again, just because the death toll is so low doesn't mean the suffering is any less.1/16/2009 7:44:41 AM |
