I almost never watch the news on tv, get all of my news from the Interwebs and the radio.

And I HATE the Weather Channel, most worthless channel ever.

i read fox news. and sometimes watch it.

i enjoy a multitude of news sources.

i can no longer watch local news though. esp wral. too painful. i'm just embarrassed for everyone involved in the stories (reporters included).

My favorite news to watch is definitely the BBC America. For reading I tend to hit up news.yahoo.com

^ so, all of your news must come from Rupert Murdoch's conservatively-biased corporations.

The Weather Channel is superior to any of the cable news networks.

Cable Channel Nods to Ratings and Leans Left

Quote :
"Having a prime-time lineup that tilts ever more demonstrably to the left could be risky for General Electric, MSNBC's parent company, which is subject to legislation and regulation far afield of the cable landscape. Officials at MSNBC emphasize that they never set out to create a liberal version of Fox News.

'It happened naturally,' Phil Griffin, a senior vice president of NBC News who is the executive in charge of MSNBC, said Friday, referring specifically to the channel's passion and point of view from 7 to 10 p.m. 'There isn't a dogma we're putting through. There is a "Go for it."'"

Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews Removed From MSNBC Anchor Posts
Biased Approach Got Anchors Booted

Quote :
"Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews have been removed from their live event anchoring positions at MSNBC. The Washington Post and the Associated Press are reporting that MSNBC has bowed to the pressure of Republicans, Democrats, viewers and journalists at MSNBC and NBC News who believe that Olbermann's and Matthews' style of biased reporting was inappropriate for events like the Democratic and Republican national conventions."

"Cable Channel Nods to Ratings"

They all do this. Any news channel on TV. It's why modern media is shit and investigative journalism is now virtually non-existent. It's not breaking news that all news is ratings-biased. They're owned by businesses and businesses will do what gets them ratings. And I certainly hope you too were able to figure that out on your own without needing a news report to tell you.

I like how many of you are making judgments about the character of people simply based on the news channel they prefer.

shit, there are character studies out there where you can find readily observable traits about people based on which candy the pick when presented with bowls of the 4 candies in the hershey chocolat multipack, so don't act like we can't make a few judgements based on where you choose to get your news
