The B week would work great for me, but I'm not a morning person at all, so the A would kill me. I've got a sleep disorder where my natural circadian rhythm is about five hours behind everyone else, so when left to my own devices, my natural bedtime is around 5am anyway. And yes, three day weekends are hot.

Where do you work?

I used to work 11 hour days 4 days a week usually falling on the weekend. I couldn't get anything done those four days as I did manual labor and was worn the fuck out but I got three days off. It was great for the weekend but got old REALLY fast. Like really fast.

I'd do A. Otherwise you'd completely fuck up your sleep schedule. B would not be fun 4 weeks into it.

When I reverse my normal sleep schedule and stay up all night, it confuses the shit of out of me. I lose track of which day of the week it is, have a hard time remember things, etc

that schedule looks awesome to mehow many people are around during the B schedule hours?

I'd take A. B would drive me nuts.

i don't knowseems like a road to poor healthi see advantages, but i think i could only do it for 6 months tops

I would never sign up to do A unless I had no other options. And if I had to alternate my sleep schedule between A and B, then... well, I'd probably get fired on the second A week due to the fact that my body just doesn't work like a motherfucking yo-yo.Just B, though? Assuming I didn't really have any other obligations, I could probably handle it. My sleep schedule tends to shift naturally towards B-hours anyway, so... yeah, it'd be kinda weird, but I'm sure I could take it.

the week B to A transition seems nice, Fri-Mon off

not to pile on, but people on third shift (which is pretty much B sked) higher rates of obesity, heart disease, and depression. It's easy to understand why.

nowaday, you should just be glad that you have a job.

my schedule:Day 1: 3am-3pmDay 2: 6am-4pmDay 3: 3am-3pmDay 4: 6am-4pmthen cycle starts over. About once every month or two it changes...ideally, everything slides 6 hours later, though one time, it completely inverted, which sucked (although I'd only seen a few hours of sunlight for the previous month, so that was a nice change). They gave me almost 2 full days unscheduled (i.e., come to work, but do it on your own time) to let my body adjust.
