does anyone actively use one of these during the winter, and if so, does it vastly reduce the static electricity that you encounter

i just took my new Columbia comforter off my bed and my sheets to wash them

holy shit.

i think my brain fried a little.

i would get one if i knew it would work

but damn if it only reduces the shocks by like 50% it wont be worth it

junk pisses me off

i had one cause my ex-gf needed it for her allergies or some shit (i don't really know exactly, it was just one part of about $350 worth of anti-allergy upgrades i had to make to my room)

i liked it cause my nose wasn't all dry when i woke up in the morning after running the heat a lot

if you have your laundry room in a central location you can get one of those things that vents your hot dryer air into a bowl of water and warms and humidifies your place. plus your house smells like clean linen

i just wanna know if these humidifiers will stop my bed comforter from generating 1.21 jigawatts of static shock from just taking it off the bed

A housekeeper I hired one time sprayed diluted Downy out of a mist bottle on the carpets. She told me that if you mist your carpets every once in a while it will reduce static and keep your place smelling fresh.

whatever you do, don't combat the problem with a dehumidifier
