i used to work at jersey mike's, and you better believe that he's talkin the same shit about you.

you gotta realize, it could have been a slow night. not all store owners want the store to remain open, with 2 or 3 people on payroll, waiting for one last person to come in in that last 10 minutes before they close. the $5 you spend on your sandwich doesn't pay for the time/money they lose in closing the store after your happy ass walks in right before the door gets locked.

next time, try a place that isnt just a few minutes from closing.

oh im sure that's what took place, i worked at a sandwich place in high school and people routinely did this, i thought it was lame as fuck then and even moreso now

i mean, it was clearly 9:50 according to my phone and the fucking clock on the wall he was standing beside

however, the last thing im doing is letting pissed off people make my food

^i dealt with the same thing at the place i worked, and i bitched up a storm when people did this
but i still fucking made their food and didn't fuck with it because im not a lazy asshole.
also, if he had said, 'hey man, i closed a little early because it was a slow night' i wouldn't have been angry but this motherfucker wanted to argue with me while he was BLATANTLY wrong.

This reminds me of a trip to KFC/Taco Bell about 5 years ago. Situation went something like this:

There was one person in front of me and one person behind me in the line a the drive-thru. After the person in front of me had been helped, I pull up to the menu/speaker:

Cashier: Yo, we closed.

Me: What time do you close?

Cashier: 11.

Me: Well, it's 10:55 and you just helped the person in front of me.

Cashier: We closed.

Me: Okay fine.

I drive away, not feeling like getting in an argument.

I look back and the person behind me is getting their order taken.

whether or not you allow yourself to believe it, sometimes when people bitch about things, there is a level of legitimacy to it, as is the case here.

you were not there and you do not know the facial expression i received when i walked in, i don't make a habit out of bitching about things like this that take place. This guy happened to come off as an asshole.

i've been perfectly reasonable about the whole thing and though i appreciate your post, i'm going to respectfully disagree since i was there and you were not.


^i don't typically show up to places when they are closing for that reason, however, since it was a subway and i could watch them make my sandwich, i wasnt that concerned, but yes cooks do some rather unappetizing things to some patrons' food.

despite the headache it was to read that sentence, I think the complaints of the OP are justified. Are you one of those people who leaves work at 5:20 everyday if youre scheduled hours are until 5:30? Or if you do stay you stop working period 10-15 minutes before you leave? I would have thought poor work ethic was something you left behind in adolescence personally...
