there will be less fluid drained from the housing, for one.

none, i ran one dry for months and it just locked up one day, other than that it ran great

on a side note:

I couldnt figure out why i had some rust going on in my axle housing, fucking cover was sealed and dry when i removed it, no leaks on my axle seals....then a friend reminded me of the breather tube...I had mounted it in the wrong spot

shoulda just filled it with wd-40


on a side note, did you know that 75w gear oil has the same viscosity as 30w crankcase oil?

come again? im running 85-90w (call me retarded i cant remember if that's what's spec'd). I know it ran out like honey when i pulled the cover



is there some graph or unit of viscosity comparo you can show? I thought the scale used for "weight" is consistent across the board
