I've seen things for 2 or 3 movies coming out in 3D too. From what I have heard they would ever charge $4+ for the privilege of watching a movie in 3D

eh, i like it. the new style of polarized glasses rock, as far as that goes. you forget they're even on.

but i'd rather the movie have a solid plot and acting, than for it to rely on gimmicky 3D effects.

I got 3-D glasses today at Food Lion. Watched Chuck tonight with them. The glasses did give the close up characters some separation from the background. Not that exciting.

when people bought radios, the movies introduced talkies because music wasn't enough

when people bought televisions, the movies went widescreen/colorful, because tv couldn't match that

when people bought fancy home theater systems, the movies went imax/3d because its not like you're going to sit around wearing the glasses by yourself, are you?

imagine what they'll do when we all actually sit around with our HD 3D screens...
