i got frustrated in GOW2 when you had to climb those chains on the platforms while enemies kept hitting you down off it.

I was thinking about getting a PS3 since I was gonna get a blu ray player anyway

and I figured for 150 more bucks it might be worth it to have another system

Is it a good blu ray player or just a shitty one

the old 80gb ps3 is backwards compatible.

i think you gotta have the best ps3 out now to be backwards compatible (read - most expensive)

i know that when i was looking at ps3s i checked out 360fanboy.com and ps3fanboy.com

you get the addicts there who work at best buy and will post about a price drop weeks ahead of when it will happen and exactly when the price drops comes into play. so if you're looking at trading something in you can do it before the price drop, or can wait til after the price drop to buy it.

[Edited on February 3, 2009 at 9:14 AM. Reason : i know this is just a rant thread, but why isn't this in entertainment?]

The newest PS3s are NOT backwards compatible. If you want to see a good chart that explains all the PS3 models (new and old) check out sony's website or Wikipedia.

this is why sony sucks.

PSX and PS2 were awesome. everything else they've made since is fail.

I was once considering a ps3 because I never owned a ps2 and I could get ps2 games I've never played as well as next-gen ps3 games. BUT No...Sony has to be a giant asshole and take out the one feature that would have led me to likely buy one.
