I like weatherperson better because "weatherman" implies forecaster and as much as I love my peeps over at NWS in Raleigh I am glad to just be a certified weather observer. I don't have people calling for my blood in the streets when they don't get their expected 12" of snow or when it rains on their parade on that 20% day during the summer. Plus, all of you ungrateful troglodytes should be glad you are even getting weather reports period since all you care about is whether it is going to rain or not. Real weather exists outside the scope of your umbrella.
