i think peter is just a homer simpson to the extreme where he is neither funny nor clever. i mean homer is supposed to be dumb and occasionally selfish, but he has charm and is a likable dynamic character. peter on the other hand is too stupid and too selfish to the point where its not even funny.

there are some herbert scenes that just go on way too fucking long... whenever he sang that song about him and chris having kids? jesus, it was the same joke being told for 3 and a half minutes


like when some jackass thinks it'll be funny to sing hit me baby one more time at karaoke and they get half way through, it's not funny, and they're still telling the joke

^ as a general rule the songs in Family Guy go on for too long.

That Herbert scene was semi-funny if you were familiar with Little Shop of Horrors, but even then, too long.
