[Edited on February 16, 2009 at 10:08 PM. Reason : is "pada" the term i'm looking for here]

Hell, I have been using "Faux News" for years now and I don't see any point in stopping just because someone gets their panties in a bunch.

So, Bristol, how does it feel to single handedly destroy the Republicans' chance of winning the 2008 election?

lol

more like

whats it like knowing your mom set back the republican party by a generation?

if he'd picked romney, we'd be debating when/if we'll actually get a black president

very good point. I guess "single handedly" was not the best term to use there

^ let's be honest, the country would have voted for Obama no matter who McCain chose as a running mate

The only way the Republicans would have had a chance would have been if they, too, had a black candidate

moderates would have flocked to a ticket that featured a highly recognized economic figure in the midst of an economic crisis

you ain't got to agree with me, but you should at least acknowledge the potential

sarah palin was an EPIC gamechanger

I would totally agree that the McCain campaign totally shot itself in the foot once Palin was chosen, and it would have been a closer race with someone like Romney as the running mate. But i still think the prospect of a black president and the history behind all of that would have made it a moot point.

I will say this, I voted for Obama, and from what I have seen so far I am worried

agreed

I am just worried that Obama is in too much of a hurry to make an impact. He has the potential to be a great charismatic leader like Kennedy, but he needs to take a step back and settle in. I know we are in a lot of trouble as a country, but there is no reason to rush into crucial decisions

the nutjob religious vote wouldn't turn out to vote for a Mormon though. McCain still had a problem shoring up the base. If Mitt Romney were a Baptist or even a Catholic he would've been the RNC nominee.

from today's http://www.thesuperficial.com

Quote :
"Bristol Palin, everyone's favorite unwed teenage mom (Jamie Lynn who?), sat down with FOX News last night and dropped two major bombs. Governor Palin's daughter made Rupert Murdoch's head explode by saying sexual abstinence is unrealistic and that every woman should have the right to choose. NY Daily News reports:

Stopping teen sex? Ain't gonna happen.
So says Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, who told Fox News' Greta Van Susteren Monday night that the abstinence her mom preaches is "not realistic at all."
Bristol Palin, who gave birth in late December, described the rigors of being a teen mom, and while she wouldn't go into detail why it isn't realistic for guys and gals her age not to have sex, she did say it isn't smart to get knocked up.
"Everyone should wait 10 years," Palin said. "I hope people learn from my story. It's so much easier if you're married, have a house and career. It's not a situation you want to strive for."
She denied that her mother's anti-abortion views were the reason she went ahead with the pregnancy.
"It was my choice to have the baby," she said. "It doesn't matter what my mom's views are on it. It was my decision."

Jesus. Giving an interview with logical, effectively communicated answers? At this point Bristol Palin might as well have peed on the Bible then joined PETA because she's out of the family. They're probably dog-sledding her out to an igloo as we speak. Facts based on real world scenarios. Ha! Adorable.
