You need to learn how to network with people. A big part of finding a job is having contacts in the field. Getting the interview is always the hardest part, and it's also the last step any friend can take to help you land the job.

i have an interview on saturday for a retail place

nothing avail in my field to anyone with less than a masters and 3 years experience, it seems >.<
