who the hell leaves the mustard out intentionally all the time, yet keeps uncooked pasta in the refrigerator?

this seems like very odd behavior.

What is the status on the Ketchup? Similar behavior, or no? I'll look into this further once we get some samples to the lab.

lol

The thing with mustard, once you open it you should refrigerate it. It says it right there on the package. I am full aware that ketchup does not require refrigeration.

Also: not eating the last piece of pizza and instead of putting it in the fridge for later you put it on the fireplace mantle and leave it there....for 2 days.

i really wanna know about butter.....\

i am of the mindset that dairy products go in the fridge all the time, no matter what, unless youre eating them

but on a recent trip to the new digs of Nerdchick and TheBullDoza i found that they keep it in a butter dish on the counter

then i refused to eat anythinng there the rest of the weeked

ok, not really, but i had never seen that.....

We keep aloe in the fridge. Roommates kept trying to take it out, so we'd just put it back in. Damn passive aggressive roommates. There's nothing better than cold aloe on a sunburn.

Avoiding the sunburn in the first place would be better.

Oh, and why is everyone taking issue with the unrefrigerated mustard, and not the refrigerated uncooked pasta?

I have known people to put all open containers of food like pasta and cereal in the fridge to keep the roaches from getting to it.

Maybe your roommate is trying to prevent a roach problem.

I can't explain the mustard. That's just stupid.

^No, and in fact sometimes it might be preferred not to. Since butter is mostly fat, it can absorb funky smells/tastes from your fridge. Alton Brown is my hero.

I keep bread in the fridge. I generally don't eat a whole loaf before it starts going moldy, but it stays fresher for longer in the fridge.

I don't put mustard or ketchup in the fridge. Butter, yes. Uncooked pasta, no. Bread, no. Milk, yes. Gummi Bears, no.
